Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why should I come to an EmergiCare clinic instead of an emergency room?

  • Convenience
  • Speed
  • Quality
  • Affordability
  • Personal touch
  • Follow-up

EmergiCare is privately-owned and has five clinics conveniently located throughout Colorado Springs and Pueblo. We are equipped to handle emergency situations expertly, quickly and affordably. We will care for you in a quiet, comfortable home-like setting without the stress of an emergency room experience.

Q. Why should I come to EmergiCare and not another urgent care clinic?

One word: Doctors. Only EmergiCare guarantees you’ll see a real doctor, not a Physician’s Assistant, in 30 minutes or less. We are locally-owned and have the most convenient locations of any urgent care provider in the Pikes Peak region.

Q. What does an EmergiCare clinic treat?

EmergiCare has the expertise and facilities to diagnose any urgent concern you have and will treat almost everything an emergency room treats. We have qualified physicians ready to serve you and EKG, pharmaceuticals, lab testing and computerized xray available at each location. EmergiCare also offers the same services that you’d find in a traditional family practice. You can walk-in and receive immediate care for everything from flu shots to school physicals to drug and alcohol testing. EmergiCare is also a major provider of work injury treatment and rehabilitation.

  • Cuts, scrapes and broken bones
  • Chest pain
  • Headaches, stomach aches
  • Back pain
  • Persistent flu symptoms
  • Sports injuries
  • Reproductive issues
  • Work-related injury
  • Illnesses of all kinds for adults, infants, children and teens
  • Automobile accidents
  • What are EmergiCare’s physicians’ qualifications?

EmergiCare doctors are highly-trained in urgent care and emergency medicine. All of our doctors are licensed and have received medical degrees from top universities. We recruit all over the country for the best urgent care talent. Unlike most hospitals, EmergiCare requires their physicians to have had a U.S. residency and be Board Certified.

Q. If it is determined I need to see a specialist for additional care, can EmergiCare refer me to an appropriate physician?

Unlike hospitals that are required to refer you to the doctor on-call, EmergiCare physicians have the luxury of referring you to any specialist who we feel is the most appropriate and who will deliver the absolute best medical care to meet your needs. We have carefully selected specialists who have earned our trust.

How do I pay?

We accept 14 insurance plans. If yours isn’t one of these, we’d be happy to bill your insurance company for you. If you don’t have insurance or are underinsured, we are happy to serve you. You’ll find our prices are substantially less than what you’d pay in an emergency room.
