EmergiCare is a physician-led group medical practice specializing in Urgent Care and Occupational medicine. We have three clinic locations in Colorado Springs, CO and one clinic in Pueblo, CO. As a growing organization, we are interested in adding qualified physicians to our group. Candidates’ should be Board Certified or Board eligible in a specialty area, such as Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Occupational Medicine is preferred but not required.

EmergiCare’s founder Dr. Robert Hamilton privately owns EmergiCare and is still active in the practice. Dr. Doug Bradley is the Medical Director providing daily resources, knowledge and wisdom to the team. The perspective of the practicing physician is integral to each business decision we make.
Each physician is expected to treat patients across the age range from very young (usually greater than six weeks) to the elderly. We provide Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services. We are not providers of longitudinal care for chronic medical problems, such as Diabetes, Hypertension or Hyperlipidemia. We have found historically that few physicians have wide experience in all these areas. However, we are able to provide a supportive clinical environment in which physicians can learn any additional needed skills.
Work Schedule Information:
Our focus is on hiring full-time physicians who will typically work about 40 hours per week. Physicians usually have a set schedule depending on the needs of the clinic where they are assigned. While most physicians have a set schedule and location, we also hire “floating” physicians, who have a more variable schedule. Physicians must have willingness to work 1 weekend per month.
We also hire physicians to work on a part-time basis. Typically this involves one PM shift each week and four to five weekend shifts each month.
Physician Compensation and Benefits:
Physicians are independent contractors of our company and their compensation is primarily an hourly rate of pay with incentive based pay bonuses after two years of service, thus benefiting those with a strong work ethic. Physicians are offered individual health insurance coverage with reimbursements. In addition, after 3 months of employment, physicians are eligible to enroll in a solo 401(k) retirement plan. All physicians are also offered paid Malpractice insurance.
EmergiCare has been successful in negotiating favorable contracts with most of the large managed care companies in the region. One direct result of these contracts is better pay than most other PCP’s in the area, who are either in private practice or who work in other employment situations.
